Whipped Coffee (Dalgona Coffee Kale Blossom style) (GF/DF)
2 Tbsp AWAKN organic instant coffee (we also like Four Sigmatic coffee blends - use 2 packets)
1.5-2 Tbsp organic coconut sugar (less sugar is fine if you don’t mind less froth)
2 Tbsp boiling water
1-2 C unsweetened milk of choice
optional: 1 serving Om Reishi Mushroom Powder or Gaia Herbs Energy Thrive powder. These can be purchased here through our free online dispensary, Wellevate.
Using a stand or handheld mixer, whip together the coffee, sugar, and boiling water for 3-5 minutes. (It may not get super frothy, but more bubbly.)
Add ice to a glass, pour in milk and add either mushroom or herbal powder, if desired - mix in. Top with the whipped/bubbly coffee mixture, stir and enjoy!
We’ve also made this using 1-2 Tbsp organic maple syrup instead of sugar. It works fine, but again, the froth will be lacking. Still super tasty!
