Easy Kale Chips (GF/DF/V)

  • 1 big bunch of kale (any variety)

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1-2 Tbsp olive oil

  • Sea salt, freshy ground pepper, to taste

Optional: nutritional yeast to sprinkle on top prior to baking (cheese-like replacement)

 

Preheat oven to 325° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the thick rib out of the middle of the kale (it's quite bitter) and then cut the leaves into big pieces. Put the leaves in a bowl with 1-2 Tbsp of olive oil and toss. Spread the kale on the baking sheet and sprinkle some turmeric, salt, pepper and some nutritional yeast, if you like it. Prepare another baking sheet if you have extra. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Start checking on the earlier side, as it can burn quickly. Enjoy!
