Hibiscus Syrup
2 C filtered water
1/2 C cut, sifted organic hibiscus
1/4-1/2 C raw, organic honey
2 Tbsp chopped, fresh organic mint (optional)
Combine the water and hibiscus in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Once boiling, turn off the heat, cover and let sit for 10-12 minutes. Add the chopped mint, if desired, and cover for another 5 minutes. Strain the liquid into a glass jar. While the mixture is still warm, stir in honey. The quantity of honey is completely up to your taste buds and may also depend on what you’re using the syrup for.
